Gist: This movie is based on the life of the famous physicist, Stephen Hawking, and his wife Jane Hawking. At a young age, Stephen was close to making a scientific breakthrough when he had a bad fall and learns that he is suffering from motor neuron disease and gradually his body parts will cease to work. Stephen has around two years to live and he must make it worth it. Jane works hard to make him feel comfortable during his remaining years.

Stephen Hawking (Eddie Redmayne)-
Stephen, an aspiring theoretical physicist studying at Cambridge University, meets a literature student, Jane Wilde. The two grow closer and soon after when he was about to finish his Ph.D., Stephen is diagnosed with Motor Neuron disease. Every one of his voluntary actions relinquishes. Stephen is a caring gentleman. He warns Jane that it will be very hard for her to cope because Stephen's life expectancy was only 2 years. Unfortunately, his disease slowly takes over and he can't speak, but he and Jane don't lose hope. After all that he had been through, he continues his passion for physics and writes several books on his groundbreaking discoveries.
Jane Hawking (Felicity Jones)-
Jane, a literature student meets Stephen. When she is informed about Stephen's disease by one of his friends, she assures him that she wants to be with him for however long they have got. They get married and have children. Jane is a hard-working woman, she knew what she had signed up for by marrying Stephen and was aware of the challenges, she never hesitates to look after him even though she knows that it was a handful. After 30 years of marriage, Stephen knew that he couldn't keep holding Jane back and that he had to let her go so that she could live a stress-free life. Later on, both end on good terms and continued to remain, friends.
Johnathan Jones (Charlie Cox)-
Johnathan was a simple man who had taught the church choir. Jane realizes that she needs to develop a hobby, so she joins the choir where she meets Johnathan. He helps Jane, Stephen, and their kids a lot, as a good gesture and he said that he was privileged to do so. Gradually, Jane and Johnathan develop feelings for each other, but nothing more. Johnathan knew that people were talking about him; always helping out Jane and they felt something was up, so he decently and kindly decides to step back.
Awards: Eddie Redmayne has won an Oscar and 2 Golden Globes for his depiction of Stephen Hawking. Felicity Jones was nominated for an Oscar for her role in this movie.
Ratings: 7.7/10 on IMDb, 80% on Rotten Tomatoes.
